Our Sugar Bear Stable LLC’s She’s Incredible was a maiden going into Gulfstream’s $150,000 Florida Sire Meadow Star Stakes on Saturday, but the 3-year-old Florida-bred filly by High Cotton came from last in the field of five, took command a furlong from home and drew away to a 4-1/2 length victory. Fellow OBS graduate R Kinsley Doll (March ’15) checked in third. Consigned by Ocala Stud, Agent, to the 2015 OBS April Sale, she breezed an Under Tack quarter in :22 1/5 before she was sold for $20,000. Arindel’s Silver Diva came from off the pace in the $75,000 Our Dear Peggy Stakes on Saturday at Gulfstream, reached contention turning for home then wore down fellow OBS graduate Devilish Romance (April ’16, August ’15) in deep stretch and beat her by half a length. It’s the second straight win and first stakes victory for the 2-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Circular Quay, trained by Ronny Werner, now 7-2-3-1 with $97,875 in earnings. The two time OBS graduate was sold by TdM Sales (Tristan & Valery de Meric), Agent, at the 2015 Winter Mixed Sale and then resold for $4,000 by Twin Stars Equine LLC, Agent, at the 2015 August Sale.
Joe Ragsdale’s Sarah Sis racked up her fifth graded stakes victory on Monday night, taking the lead at the start of the $400, 600 Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes (G2) and staying there to the wire, holding on to win by a head. That’s six stakes wins for the 4-year-old daughter of Sharp Humor, who breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before her purchase for $20,000 by Mr. Ragsdale out of the Doble Jak consignment at the 2014 OBS June Sale. Jagger, Inc.’s Ghost Hunter found room between horses in the stretch of the $200,400 Presque Isle Mile Stakes on Saturday, took control a furlong from home and scored by a length and a half over fellow OBS graduate Tale of the Nile (March ’15, August ’14). It’s the first stakes victory for the 6-year-old gelding by Ghostzapper, trained by Jamie Ness, now 40-15-8-7 with earnings of $496,270. He breezed an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show prior to the 2012 OBS June Sale before he was purchased out of the McKathan Bros. consignment for $30,000. watch his under tack video
