OXO Equine’s Instilled Regard captured the $400,000 Manhattan Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park on Saturday in spectacular fashion. The 5-year-old son of Arch, shuffled back saving ground in the early going, turned for home behind a wall of horses. But after angling out for the drive, he found room between horses in the final furlong and got up in the final yards to win by a neck in a five horse blanket finish. Trained by Chad Brown, he’s now 18-5-3-4 with four graded stakes wins and earnings of $983,240. Consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, to the 2017 OBS March Sale, he turned in an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5 before he was sold purchased by OXO Equine for $1,050,000.  watch his under tack video

Joseph and Gayle Ioia and Chuck Spina’s Prancing Warrior took the lead at the start of the $78,000 Spruce Fir Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday and never looked back, holding off the odds-on favorite and scoring by a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 5-year-old daughter of Bold Warrior, a two-time OBS graduate, sold by Thoroughstock, Agent, at the 2015 Fall Mixed Sale and then purchased by Joseph Ioia for $17,000 out of the Kelli Mitchell consignment at the 2016 August Yearling Sale. Now 12-4-0-1 for trainer Chuck Spina, she has earned $127,475 to date.

Paradise Farm Corp., Terry Raymond and Jana Wagner’s Relentless Dancer pressed the pace in the early going of the $60,000 Louisiana Legends Cheval Stakes at Evangeline Downs, moved to take command coming out of the turn and cruising from there to victory by a length and three quarters. It’s the second stakes score for the 3-year-old colt by Midshipman, now 8-3-0-0 for trainer Mike Maker with $155,838 in earnings. He worked an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show before he was purchased for $80,000 out of the Grassroots Training & Sales consignment at the 2019 OBS April Sale. watch his under tack video
