Westrock Stables’ Decelerator is two for two and a graded stakes winner after her neck decision in Saturday’s $111,300 Debutante Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs. The 2-year-old daughter of Dehere, sold for $250,000 by Sequel Bloodstock, Agent, at the 2009 OBS February Sale, has earned $95,671 to date. more

Trust or Bust captures the Charles Town Invitational Dash Handicap
Happy Hour Stable’s Trust or Bust scored his third stakes victory of the year with a 2-1/4 length win in the $250,000 Charles Town Invitational Dash Handicap on Saturday. That leaves the 4-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Trust N Luck with five wins in eight starts this year, a 16-7-5-2 record and $350,220 in earnings. He was consigned by Montgomery Farm, Agent, to the 2006 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. more

Holy Bull colt tops June Sale finale
Hip No. 366, Holy Creator, a colt by Holy Bull consigned by SGV Thoroughbreds (Steven Venosa), Agent, went to Frank Fletcher Racing Operations for $150,000 in Wednesday’s second and final session to top the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2009 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. The chestnut colt, who worked a quarter in :22 2/5 at Sunday’s Under Tack session, is out of stakes winner Creativity, by Notebook. more

Jealous Again wins Royal Ascot's Queen Mary Stakes
Robert Abrams, R.Brewer, M. Dutko and Wesley Ward’s Jealous Again took command at the start of the Queen Mary Stakes (G2) at Royal Ascot at the start and gave nothing else a chance, cruising to a five-length victory for her second win in three starts, after running second to stablemate and fellow OBS August graduate Aegean in the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes (G3) on Oaks Day at Churchill Downs. The Florida-bred 2-year-old filly by Trippi was sold for $30,000 by Kaizen Sales, Agent, at the 2008 OBS August Sale. more

Maria's Mon filly tops June Sale's opening session
Hip No. 40, a filly by Maria’s Mon consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, went to Shim Racing for $130,000 to top the opening session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2009 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. The gray or roan filly, whose eighth in :10 1/5 was co-fastest at the distance at last Saturday’s Under Tack session, is out of stakes winner Merit Wings, by Silver Hawk. more

Macho Again wins Churchill's Stephen Foster Handicap

West Point Thoroughbreds’ Macho Again rallied from last, took command of Saturday’s $660,000 Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) at Churchill Downs a furlong from home and eased away to a one length victory for his first grade one win. That gives the 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by Macho Uno two graded stakes wins in four starts this year, a 18-6-4-0 record and earnings of $1,475,247. Sold first by Beth Bayer, Agent, at the 2006 OBS August Sale, he was purchased for $150,000 out of the Crupi’s New Castle Farm consignment at the 2007 OBS February Sale. more

Royal Academy filly fastest at June Sale Under Tack finale
Hip No. 310, Vienna Calling, a Royal Academy filly consigned by Potrero Stables, Agent, zipped an eighth in :10 flat to post the sale’s fastest time at the distance at the second and final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2009 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. The bay filly is out of Ballet Partner (GB), by First Trump. more

Freefourinternet colt fastest at June Sale Under Tack opener
Hip No. 30, Tagged, a colt by Freefourinternet consigned by Robdale Farms, Agent, sped a quarter in :21 1/5 to post the fastest time at the distance at the first session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2009 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. The bay colt is out of Margin Note, by Notebook, a daughter of graded stakes winner Noranc. more

Noble Court takes Hollywood's Ack Ack Handicap
Joy Ride Racing’s Noble Court was last in the early going in the $100,000 Ack Ack Handicap (G3) at Hollywood Park on Saturday, but came flying late to win his second graded stakes race by half a length. That gave the 5-year-old son of Doneraile Court two wins in as many starts this year, improving his record to 11-6-2-2 and upping his earnings to $335,778. He was sold for $190,000 by Gabriel Dixon, Agent, at the 2006 OBS March Sale. more

Acting Zippy wins Penn National's Changing Times Stakes
William Don Bennett and Carl Bowling’s Acting Zippy racked up his third stakes win in a little over a month, scoring by half a length in the $58,200 Changing Times Stakes Friday night at Penn National. That gives the 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by City Zip four wins in eight starts this year, improving his record to 25-7-5-4 and boosting his bankroll to $339,628. He was sold for $100,000 by Solitary Oak, Agent, at the 2007 OBS March Sale. more

Redefined scores in Belmont's Dedicated Rullah Stakes
Michael Dubb and Robert Joscelyn’s 8-year-old Redefined picked up the first stakes win of his career at Belmont on Memorial Day, edging fellow OBS graduate Meriwether Jessica (February ’07) by a neck in the $66,750 Dedicated Rullah Stakes. It’s the first win in two starts this year for the son of Labeeb (GB), giving him a 39-10-5-4 record and earnings of $399,098. He brought $21,000 when sold by Sez Who Thoroughbreds at the 2003 OBS April Sale. more

Awesome Rhythm wins Woodbine's Marine Stakes
Domenic Triumbari’s Awesome Rhythm made it two stakes wins in a row on Saturday with a 2-1/4 length victory in the $127,539 Marine Stakes at Woodbine. The 3-year-old colt by Toccet, purchased for $20,000 out of the True South consignment at the 2008 OBS April Sale, is now 9-3-1-2 with earnings of $178,116. more

Acting Zippy scores in Monmouth's Decathlon Stakes
William D. Bennett’s Acting Zippy posted his second straight stakes win on Saturday, taking the $74,200 Decathlon Stakes at Monmouth Park by a length and three quarters. It’s the third win in eight starts this year for the 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by City Zip, sold for $100,000 by Solitary Oak, Agent, at the 2007 OBS March Sale. Now 24-6-5-4, he has earned $303,628 to date. more
