LRE Racing LLC and JEH Racing LLC’s Casa Creed moved up four wide on the turn after stalking the early pace in Saratoga’s $200,000 National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame Stakes (G2) on Friday, put his head in front coming to the eighth pole and stayed there to the wire, scoring by a head. It’s the first graded stakes victory for the 3-year-old colt by Jimmy Creed, purchased for $15,000 out of the Janie Roper consignment at the 2017 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. Ivan Rodriguez, Albert Crawford and Michelle Crawford’s Shancelot is three for three and a graded stakes winner after leading from gate to wire and winning Saratoga’s $200,000 Amsterdam Stakes (G2) by 12-1/2 lengths in 1:14 flat for six and one half furlongs. The 3-year-old colt by Shanghai Bobby opened daylight after a quarter in :21 3/5 and kept on running, leading by six lengths after a half  in :43 4/5 and by ten lengths after six furlongs in 1:07 3/5, shading Imperial Hint’s track record 1:07 4/5 set in yesterday’s Alfred G. Bloom Racing Stable, Madaket Stables LLC and Allen Racing LLC’s Midnight Bisou continued her march toward a title with a victory in Saturday’s $147,000 Molly Pitcher Stakes (G3) at Monmouth Park. The 4-year-old daughter of Midnight Lute, trained by Steve Asmussen, is five for five this year, all in graded stakes company. After saving ground early, she slipped through on the rail in the final furlong and eased away to score by a measured length. That’s her tenth graded stakes victory, and it leaves her with a 16-10-3-3 career record and $2,870,000 in earnings. Imaginary Stables and Glenn Ellis’ War Story pressed the pace early in Saturday’s $200,000 Monmouth Cup Stakes (G3), fought back when headed in the stretch and won by a head. Altamira Racing Stable and Slam Dunk Racing’s Painting Corners stalked the early leader of Del Mar’s $116,504 Daisycutter Stakes on Saturday, took over in the stretch and eased away late to score by three quarters of a length. It’s the second stakes win this year for the 5-year-old Florida-bred graded stakes placed daughter of Pleasant Strike, trained by Peter Miller, now 20-7-2-4 with $319,338 in earnings. West Point Thoroughbreds’ Seven Trumpets pressed the pace in Sunday’s $76,000 Good Lord Stakes at Ellis Park, took command in the lane and held off a late charge to win by three quarters of a length. Charles Hovitz’s Vangilder stepped into stakes company for the first time in Saturday’s $70,000 Charles Taylor Derby at Albuquerque, circled seven wide to reach contention in the stretch and was up in the final yards to win by three quarters of a length. The 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Paynter, consigned to the 2018 OBS March Sale by Best A Luck Farm, Agent, breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before he was sold for $30,000. Saratoga is always a showcase for 2-year-olds and OBS graduates are off to a strong start at the 2019 meeting.

Gold Square LLC’s My Italian Rabbi is two for two and a stakes winner after chasing fellow OBS graduate Fierce Lady (March ’19) from the start of Thursday’s $100,000 Stillwater Stakes at Saratoga, battling her down the stretch and beating her by a nose in the last jump. The 2-year-old daughter of Competitive Edge, trained by Jeremiah Englehart, has earned $89,100 to date. She was purchased for $60,000 out of the Summerfield consignment at the 2018 OBS Winter Mixed Sale.

An hour later, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, Peter Searles and Patty Searles’ City Man came from off the pace, swung wide for the drive, took over in deep stretch and drew away late to take a $78,000 Maiden Special Weight test by three lengths. It was the first start for the 2-year-old colt by Mucho Macho Man, who turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before he was sold to Reeves Thoroughbreds for $185,000 by Off the Hook LLC, Agent, at the 2019 April Sale. On Wednesday, Carl R. Moore’s Just Fly, with two starts under her belt at Churchill Downs, put the experience to good use in a $75,000 Maiden Special Weight dash, taking charge on the turn and drawing away in the stretch to score by 4-3/4 lengths. The 2-year-old daughter of Justin Phillip, trained by Joe Sharp, has earned $52,935. Later that afternoon, trainer Mark Casse unveiled Gary Barber’s Violent Point, who went to the lead at the start of a $78,000 Maiden Special Weight test and never looked back, scoring by six lengths in her first trip to the post. The win was worth $42,900 to the 2-year-old daughter of Violence, sold for $65,000 by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent, at the 2018 Winter Mixed Sale.

Boy’s Stable’s Bank On Shea got the ball rolling in his debut last Sunday, saving ground early, coming out for the drive, making the lead late and easing away to a three quarter length victory in a $78,000 Maiden Special test. The 2-year-old Central Banker colt breezed and Under Tack eighth in :10 flat before he was purchased for $110,000 out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2019 April Sale. Stable, Inc’s Stirling Drive led a 1-2-3 OBS April sweep of Saturday’s $100,000 Not Surprising Stakes at Gulfstream, tracking the lead early, taking command in the stretch and holding off a late charge by Art G Is Back (April ’18) by a neck, with Forever Mo (April ’18) a  nose back in third. It’s the second stakes win for 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Verrazano, purchased for $75,000 out of the Off the Hook consignment at the 2018 April Sale after breezing an eighth in :10 flat. In the $65,000 Cyclones Handicap, Claim To Fame Stable’s Net Gain came from last of six, circled horses into the stretch and ran past the leaders late to score by a length. It’s the second straight win and fouth stakes victory for the 7-year-old son of Include, trained by Clinton C. Stuart, now 46-8-7-10 with earnings of $478,256. Half an hour later, Doubledown Stables, Inc.’s Shanghai Tariff pressed the pace in the $100,000 Saylorville Stakes, took command on the turn, opened a big lead in the stretch and cruised home a winner by 2-1/2 lengths. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Kitten’s Joy, closing in on a million with earnings of $953,160 for trainer Mike Maker and sporting an 11-4-3-0 career record. Tropic Lightning Racing LLC’s Take Command moved to the leaders with a rush nearing the head of the stretch in Saturday’s $75,000 Carry Back Stakes at Gulfstream, took charge in the final furlong and drew away late to a four length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Field Commission, trained by Teresa Pompay, now 7-3-0-1 with $119,738 in earnings. Consigned by Kim Harrison (Top Speed Farm) to the 2017 OBS Winter Mixed Sale, he was sold to Tropic Lightning Racing for $12,000.

Tae In Lee’s Dolkong was far back turning for home in Sunday’s $519,504 Mayor’s Cup Stakes at Busan in Korea, but closed steadily down the middle of the track, took the lead in deep stretch and scored by three quarters of a length. It’s the second stakes win for the 5-year-old graded stakes placed son of Afleet Alex, purchased for $35,000 out of the Mayberry Farm consignment at the 2016 OBS April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 4/5. After saving ground early, Charles Fipke’s Seeking the Soul swung outside for the drive in Saturday’s $600,000 Stephen Foster Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs, closed steadily down the stretch and was up in the final yards to score by a neck. It’s the third graded stakes win for the 6-year-old son of Perfect Soul (IRE), who earned a start in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), improved his career record to 27-7-6-1, and increased his earnings to $3,335,802. Goldmart Farms and Royal Laser Racing’s Kingsport came from off the pace to reach the leaders a furlong from home in Saturday’s $100,000 Steady Growth Stakes at Woodbine, put his head in front and held on gamely from there to win by a neck. That’s ten stakes wins for the 7-year-old son of Milwaukee Brew, who breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before he was purchased for $45,000 out of the RiceHorse Stables consignment at the 2014 OBS June Sale. Larry Pratt and Dave Alden’s Doctor Mounty moved to the outside on the turn in Laurel’s $100,000 Prince George’s County Stakes on Sunday, surged to the lead with a rush nearing the wire and scored going away by a length.
