June Sale grad Webslinger wins Churchill’s Audubon Stakes

D.J. Stable LLC’s June Sale graduate Webslinger stalked the leaders from the outside in Saturday’s $225,000 Audubon Stakes at Churchill Downs, moved to take command after turning for home and eased away down to the stretch to score by a length and a quarter. It’s the second straight stakes win for the graded stakes winning 3-year-old colt by Constitution, now 9-4-2-1 with $860,320 in earnings for trainer Mark Casse. The two-time OBS graduate went through the ring at the 2022 Spring Sale before he was purchased for $50,000 out of the Blue River Bloodstock consignment at the June Sale after breezing three eighths in :33 1/5 at the Under Tack Show.  watch his under tack video   June Sale walking video

Live Oak Plantation’s Souper Hoity Toity took the early lead in Woodbine’s $157,800 Belle Maone Stakes (G3), set the pace into the stretch, held off a late run by odds-on favorite Moira and was best by a neck at the wire.  That’s three graded stakes victories for the 4-year-old daughter of Uncle Mo, purchased by Live Oak for $550,000 out of the Pike Racing consignment at the 2021 OBS March Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Also trained by Mark Casse, she has compiled a 10-6-1-0 career record and earned $355,958.  watch her under tack video     March Sale walking video
