Bulldog Racing’s Alpha Bettor successfully defended his title in Woodbine’s $159, 343 Seagram Cup Stakes (G3), rallying in the final furlong and scoring by three quarters of a length. It’s the second graded stakes win in three starts this year for the 5-year-old horse by Alphabet Soup, now 23-7-4-2 with earnings of $545,571. Bluestone Thoroughbreds LLC’s Black Diamond Cat captured his second stakes win of the year on Saturday at Gulfstream, taking command of the $115,000 Housebuster Stakes a furlong from home and drawing off to a 2-1/4 length victory. That’s four stakes wins for the 6-year-old Florida-bred Wildcat Heir gelding, now 49-8-11-5 with $402,454 in earnings. The two time OBS graduate was sold first by Kaizen Sales at the 2008 January Sale before being consigned by Marion Bloodstock, Agent, to the 2008 August Sale.

Jay F. Young’s Brooklyn Cowboy picked up his first stakes win on Saturday at Mountaineer, taking the $100,000 West Virginia Legislature Chairman’s Cup Stakes by a length and a quarter. It’s the third win in seven starts this year for the 5-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Pomeroy, sold for $43,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, at the 2010 OBS April Sale. Trilogy Stable and Laurie Plesa’s unbeaten Yes I’m Lucky is three for three with two stakes wins after his 1-3/4 length victory in Sunday’s $59,200 Tyro Stakes at Monmouth Park. John Carver, Jerry Hollendorfer and Green Smith’s Outside Nashville blew past the leaders three wide at the top of the stretch in Saturday’s $57,600 Robert Dupret Derby at Santa Rosa then ran away to a 4-1/2 length victory. It’s the second stakes score for the 3-year-old colt by Broken Vow, sold for $115,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, at the 2012 OBS March Sale. My Purple Haze Stable’s Talk Therapy tried stakes company for the first time in Saturday’s $50,000 Genesee Valley Breeders’ Stakes at Finger Lakes and proved best by a length and a half. His first stakes scores leaves the 7-year-old gelding by Freud 25-7-8-1 with earnings of $243,294. Mark DeDomenico LLC and North American Thoroughbred Horse Company’s lightly raced Saturday Nite Ride scored her first stakes win at Northlands Park on Friday with a two length wire to wire win in the $50,000 Madamoiselle Handicap. It’s the third win this year for the 4-year-old daughter of Flower Alley, sold for $50,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale. Robert Abbo Racing Stables LLC’s Immortal Eyes continued his march toward a million on Sunday at Monmouth Park, going to the front and staying there all the way, winning the $107,000 Teddy Drone Stakes by a neck. It’s the third straight win for the three time veteran of the OBS sales ring, sold first at the 2006 Winter Mixed Sale then resold at the 2006 August Yearling Sale. Then, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, to the 2007 February Sale, he brought $220,000.  The 8-year-old Florida-bred son of Greatness has racked up eleven stakes wins, compiled a 45-16-12-4 record and has earned $865,051 to date. watch his under tack video

Just For Fun Stable LLC’s Street Gem took charge of Saturday’s $66,000 Desert Vixen Stakes at Monmouth on the turn, opened a big lead in the lane then coasted to a 1-1/4 length victory. That’s two straight stakes wins for the 3-year-old filly by Street Boss, now 10-5-2-0 with earnings of $118,940. Westrock Stables LLC’s Secret Compass added blinkers after a sluggish start in her Hollywood debut then stayed close throughout a Del Mar maiden special on Sunday. After hitting the front in deep stretch, she held off a late run by fellow OBS graduate Be Proud (April ’13) and scored by three quarters of a length. Coteau Grove Farms LLC’s Le Gris stepped into stakes company in the $125,000 D.S. Shine Young Memorial Stakes on Saturday at Evangeline Downs and left no doubt he was best, posting a 2-1/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old gelding by Half Ours, sold first at the 2012 OBS Winter Mixed Sale before being purchased for $10,000 out of the Janie Roper consignment at the 2012 August Sale. Now 4-2-0-1, he has earned $96,450.

Repole Stable’s Our Amazing Rose,  whose eighth in :9 4/5 was co-fastest at the distance at the March Sale Under Tack Show, put her speed to good use in her debut in a Saratoga maiden special weight test. Taking over on the turn, the 2-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True bounded away to a 7-3/4 length victory, running five furlongs in a snappy :57 3/5. Westrock Stables LLC’s Cadron battled for the early lead in a Del Mar maiden special on Thursday, drew clear in the lane and then held off a late charge to win her debut by neck. Consigned to the 2013 OBS March Sale by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, the 2-year-old Broken Vow filly, who breezed an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show, earned $45,000. watch her under tack video

B.J. Wright’s Jeranimo was last in the early going in Saturday’s $300, 000 Eddie Read Stakes (G1) at Del Mar but came flying in the lane, hit the front in deep stretch and was a length and a half length clear at the wire. It’s the second grade one win for the 7-year-old Florida-bred son of Congaree, sold for $50,000 by On Course Sales, Agent, at the 2007 OBS August Sale. The win gives him a 35-10-6-5- record and earnings of $1,400,864.

Thomas D. Shank and Stan Young’s Good Lord went to the lead in the $50,000 Don Bernhardt Stakes at Ellis Park on Saturday, turned back a challenge from fellow OBS graduate Right to Vote (March ’11) at the top of the stretch and went on to win by 3-1/4 lengths. Right to Vote settled for third. Winning the Don Bernhardt for the second straight year gives the 6-year-old Florida-bred son of Greatness six stakes wins, a 51-10-9-11 record and earnings of $536,564. Ywachetta H. Driver and James Travis’ Guns Loaded fought on the front end all the way in his debut in a $76,000 maiden special at Del Mar on Saturday before easing away in the final yards and scoring by a length and a half. The two-time OBS graduate was first sold by Equest Thoroughbreds, Inc. at the 2012 August Sale. Consigned by Welcome Gate Farm, Agent, to the 2013 April Sale, the 2-year-old colt by D’wildcat brought $175,000 after working a quarter in:21 flat at the Under Tack Show. Lanni Family Trust’s Reneesgotzip and Karl Watson, Mike Pegram and Paul Weitman’s Executiveprivilege, both idle since December, ran one-two as they returned to action in a six furlong $85, 000 allowance at Del Mar on Thursday. The pair of graded stakes winning fillies were both sold at the OBS April Sale. Reneesgotzip, sold by Halcyon Hammock, Agent for $45,000 at the 2011 sale, is now 11-6-3-1 and has earned $565,460. Executiveprivilege, now 8-5-2-0 with earnings of $957,000, was sold by Eddie Woods, Agent, for a sale topping $650,000 in 2012. 

Team Valor International’s Infinite Magic stayed close to the lead in Saturday’s $200, 000 American Derby (G3) at Arlington, fought for the lead between horses in the stretch and was best at the wire by a head. It’s the first stakes win for the well traveled 3-year-old colt by More Than Ready, who raced in England at two before returning home this spring. Consigned by Vinery Sales, Agent, to the 2011 OBS August Sale, he’s now 9-4-2-0 and has earned $167,502 to date.
