Charles Bigg’s Harper’s Corner (Speaker’s Corner-Toscana, by Speightstown) a graduate of the OBS April Sale, made every pole a winning one in taking the $200,000 Schuylerville, a six-furlong sprint for 2-year-old fillies, at Saratoga Race Course July 3.

Trained by Cathal Lynch, the dark bay filly became the first stakes winner for her sire, Speaker’s Corner. Bred in Kentucky by Bishop Racing, Harper’s Corner banked $110,000 in victory while improving her record to 2-for-2.
Lynch said they could next target the Grade 3, $225,000 Adirondack going 6 1/2-furlongs on August 2 at Saratoga.
“I’m delighted. I think she’s a real filly,” Lynch told NYRA publicity. “She showed everything at home that she was doing very, very good. We try not to get in their way.”
Harper’s Corner was purchased by her owner for $70,000 at this year’s OBS April Sale where she worked in :10 1/5 out of the Grassroots Training and Sales consignment.
