Hit The Bid Racing Stable’s Fast Market (Volatile – Betty Draper, By Street Cry (Ire)) continued her run of improvement when she scored by 1 1/2 lengths in the Grade 3, $175,000 Pebbles Stakes on the outer turf at Aqueduct Nov. 23 to notch her first stakes score and lead the slate of stakes-winning OBS grads for the week.

Fast Market has raced in routes and sprints on both the main track and grass for trainer John Terranova but has established a comfort level on turf while stretching out. She notched her second win in her last three starts following a maiden-breaking score going one mile on the Aqueduct grass in September.
“She’s just a very nice filly. She finally put it all together her last few starts and it’s more of the same,” Terranova told NYRA publicity. “She’s just getting better and better. She’s a later foal, so she took a little while for us to figure out, but we finally got it all right and she’s been real consistent and we can’t wait for next season.”
Fast Market was purchased at the 2024 OBS June Sale by her owners for $350,000 from the Majestic consignment after breezing in :10 flat.
At Aqueduct on Nov. 22, Tristar Farm’s Doc Sullivan (Solomini- Queen Frostine, by Giant’s Causeway) relished a turnback in distance to post a 5 1/2-length score in the $125,000 Thunder Rumble division of the New York Stallion Stakes Series, a seven-furlong sprint for eligible New York-sired 3-year-olds and up.
Trained by John Ortiz, the 4-year-old son of Solomini picked up his third stakes win following state-bred scores sprinting seven furlongs at Saratoga Race Course in last year’s Mike Lee and the John Morrissey in July.
Doc Sullivan was a $59,000 purchase by Glen Lostritto from the consignment of Omar Ramirez Bloodstock at the 2023 OBS June Sale after breezing in :21 1/5.
At Fair Grounds on Nov. 20, Rising Inflation (Mitole – Any Given Trace, by Any Given Saturday) proved much the best in the $100,000 John Valene Memorial.
Rallying from fifth, Mark Rose, Slam Dunk Racing and Dennis Bailey’s Rising Inflation saved ground into the stretch before taking the lead and drawing clear by 4 1/2 lengths for trainer Jonathan Wong.
Notching her second stakes win since moving to Wong’s barn in Louisiana, the 4-year-old daughter of Mitole was purchased by Klaravich Stable for $200,000 out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2023 OBS April Sale after breezing in :10 1/5
