Red Oak Stable’s Make It Big is two for two and a stakes winner after overcoming a poor start, rallying to reach contention in the stretch, catching fellow OBS graduate Lightening Larry (March ’21) inside the final furlong and drawing off to beat him by 2-1/2 lengths in Gulfstream’s $60,000 Ocala Stud Juvenile Sprint Stakes. Frank Fletcher Racing Operations, Inc. and Ten Strike Racing’s Lady Rocket picked up her second stakes victory on Sunday in the 2nd division of the $100,000 Pumpkin Pie Stakes at Belmont Park. After battling for the lead from the outside, she took command at the head of the stretch and held on gamely to score by a head. The 4-year-old graded stakes placed daughter of Tale of the Cat, a two-time OBS graduate, was sold by The Acorn at the 2018 October Selected Yearling Sale and then purchased for $420,000 out of the de Meric Sales consignment at the 2019 Spring Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat.
