Holly and David Wilson’s Top of the Game took charge of the $73,690 Comma to the Top Stakes on Saturday at Santa Anita after straightening away in the stretch, opened a long lead a furlong from home and coasted from there to a 4-1/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old gelding by Desert Party, returning to the races after a layoff since a victory at Santa Anita in February. Trained by Vladimir Cerin, he’s now 12-4-1-1 and has earned $167,420. The two time OBS graduate was purchased out of the Beth Bayer consignment at the 2014 Selected Yearling Sale and then resold for $150,000 by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, Agent, at the 2015 March Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. watch his under tack video Selected Sale Conformation photo
