Three Diamonds Farm’s Bonus Points circled horses to reach contention in the stretch of Saturday’s $150,000 Maryland Million Classic Stakes at Laurel, ran past the leaders a sixteenth from home and was clear by 2-3/4 lengths at the wire. It’s the second stakes win for the graded stakes placed 3-year-old colt by Majestic Warrior, trained by Todd Pletcher, now 14-3-3-2 with $340,560 in earnings. Ivery Sisters Racing’s Black Tide went right to the front in Sunday’s $200,000 Mohawk Stakes on the turf at Belmont Park, opened a long lead after half a mile and was never threatened from there, reporting home by a length and a quarter over fellow OBS graduate Offering Plan (April ’14). It’s the first stakes win for two-time OBS graduate, sold by Harry L. Landry Bloodstock at the 2013 August Yearling Sale and then purchased for $50,000 out of the Top Line Sales consignment at the 2014 April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5. Wycoff’s Gianna’s Dream picked up her second straight stakes victory in the $130,000 Oklahoma Classics Distaff Turf Stakes on Friday at Remington Park, taking the lead after straightening away in the stretch and drawing off to a 2-1/4 length win. That’s four stakes wins for the 4-year-old daughter of Twirling Candy, now 17-9-1-4 with earnings of $401,791 for trainer Mike Maker. Hronis Racing LLC’s Artistic Diva is two for two and a stakes winner after leading every step of the way and winning Sunday’s $71,500 Anoakia Stakes at Santa Anita by 2-1/4 lengths over fellow OBS graduate Steph Being Steph (April ’17).
