J Stables, Head of Plains Partners LLC, Summer, Summers, Kisber and Summers’ Mind Your Biscuits sat off the pace in the early going of Santa Anita’s $301,380 Malibu Stakes (G1), then rallied to catch fellow OBS graduate Sharp Azteca (April ’15, August ’14) in deep stretch and beat him by a half length. It’s the second graded stakes victory for the 3-year-old colt by Posse, who scored in Saratoga’s Amsterdam Stakes (G2) in July. Trained by Robert Falcone, Jr., he’s now 13-4-4-3 and has earned $675,366 to date. Gainesway Stable’s Danzatrice took control of the $50,000 Tiffany Lass Stakes at Fair Grounds on Monday at the quarter pole and ran away from there, drawing off in the lane to a 7-1/4 length victory. It’s the second stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Dunkirk, trained by Steve Asmussen, now 9-5-1-1- with earnings of $227,865.
