Trilogy Stable and Laurie Plesa’s Itsmyluckyday became the 80th OBS graduate to top a million in earnings on Sunday at Monmouth Park, rallying from just off the pace, taking command in the lane and drawing off to a 1-1/2 length victory in the $160,500 Salvator Mile Stakes (G3). It’s the third straight stakes score for the 4-year-old colt by Lawyer Ron, who worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 3/5 before he was purchased for $110,000 by trainer Eddie Plesa out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2012 OBS March Sale. With two graded stakes wins to his credit, he’s now 17-8-3-1 and has earned $1,022,600. watch his under tack video
Treadway Racing Stable’s Wonder Gal was last of five for a quarter mile in her debut in Sunday’s $122,500 Lynbrook Stakes at Belmont Park, but moved up quickly on the outside on the turn, took command a quarter mile from home and galloped to a 14-1/2 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Accelebrate (April ’14, January ’13). Purchased by Jeffrey Treadway for $210,000 out of the Old South Farm consignment at the 2014 OBS March Sale after working an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5, the 2-year-old daughter of Tiz Wonderful earned $75,000 for her effort. watch her under tack video
Acclaimed Racing Stable’s Mr. Baker gave nothing else a chance in Saturday’s $90,000 Housebuster Stakes at Gulfstream, taking the lead at the break and staying there all the way, opening up in the lane and coasting home by 3-1/4 length. It’s the second straight stakes victory and fourth straight win overall for the 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Imperialismn, now 15-6-2-2 with earnings of $188,614. He was sold for $18,000 by breeder Get Away Farm at the 2011 OBS April Sale after breezing a quarter in :22 flat at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video
