Westbury Stables LLC’s Believe in Charlie rallied from off the pace in Sunday’s $90,000 Ladies Turf Sprint Stakes at Gulfstream, hit the front a furlong from home then hung on gamely to win by a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Indian Charlie, now 14-4-0-2 with earnings of $174,124. She was consigned to the 2010 OBS Fall Mixed Sale by Beth Bayer, Agent.
Hardacre Farm LLC’s Ready Signal also posted her first stakes win at Gulfstream on Sunday, flying on the outside down the stretch and getting up in the final jump to win the $75,000 Ten Palms Stakes by a nose. Her first win in two starts this year leaves her with a 18-3-2-2 record and $168,694 in earnings.
