Preston Stables LLC’s Flat Out moved to the lead turning for home in the $750, 000 Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Belmont and he cruised home from there to a 2-1/2 length victory. His first grade one win puts him over the million dollar mark in earnings, and his next start should be in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). The 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Flatter, sold for $11,000 as a weanling by Thoroughstock, Agent, at the 2006 OBS Fall Mixed Sale, is now 12-5-3-0 and he’s earned $1,109,713.
Shivananda Parbhoo’s Giant Ryan took the lead at the break of the $350,000 Vosburgh Invitational Stakes (G1) and stayed there all the way for a half length victory. It’s the sixth straight win for the 5-year-old son of Freud, now 14-8-1-1 with earnings of $626,841. The three time OBS graduate was sold first by Burleson Farms LLC, Agent, at the 2006 Fall Mixed Sale. After being consigned by M & H Training and Sales, Agent, to the 2008 March Sale, he was sold by M & H for $27,000 at the 2008 June Sale.
