The dark bay or brown filly is out of stakes placed Wasted Wisdom, by Gold Fever, a half sister to graded stakes winning millionaire Desert Code.
Hip No. 118, Yes She’s Wild, a Yes It’s True filly consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, was sold to Nick de Meric, Agent, for $105,000. The bay filly is out of stakes placed Wildcard Cat, by Forest Wildcat, a daughter of stakes winner Clever Kat.
Hip No. 61, a colt by Midnight Lute consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Agent for Cloverleaf Farms II, went to Patrice Miller EQB, Agent, for $87,000. The dark bay or brown colt is out of Rainbow Promise, by Known Fact, and is a half brother to stakes winner Class Above.
Buzz Chace, Agent, went to $87,000 for Hip No. 65, a colt by Flatter consigned by Dapple Stud, Agent. The bay colt is out of Relay, by Smoke Glacken, a half sister to stakes winner Network.
Hip No. 169, a colt by Tiz Wonderful out of stakes placed Foolish Kiss, by Kissin Kris, was sold to Buttonwood Bloodstock LLC for $82,000. The dark bay or brown colt was consigned by Dapple Stud, Agent.
For the day, 110 horses brought a total of $4,181,000, compared with 135 horses grossing $4,838,500 in the 2010 Selected Yearling Sale. The average price was $38,009, up 6% from $35,841 last year, while the median price was $34,000, a gain of 30.1% compared with $26,000 a year ago. The buyback percentage was 26.2%; it was 25.4% a year ago. Thirty-two horses brought $50,000 or more compared with 31 last year.
