Zayat Stables LLC’s El Kabeir left no doubt he was best in the $200, 000 Jerome Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct on Saturday, taking over after turning for home and drawing away in the stretch to a four length victory despite losing ground on both turns. It’s the second straight graded stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Scat Daddy, trained by John Terranova, now 6-3-1-1 with $388,892 in earnings. He was purchased for a co-sale topping $250,000 by EQB, Inc. on behalf of Zayat Stables from Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent for Rustlewood Farm, at the 2013 OBS August Yearling Sale.
