Pinnacle Racing Stable & William A. Kaplan’s Musical Romance scored her first graded win Saturday with a neck decision in the $400, 800 Presque Isle Masters Stakes (G2). It’s the fourth stakes victory in twelve starts this year for the 4-year-old Florida-bred filly by Concorde’s Tune, now 31-8-4-7 with earnings of $637,850. She was sold for $22,000 by breeder Ocala Stud at the 2009 OBS April Sale.
Frank Fletcher’s Rocket Twentyone is two for two and a graded stakes winner after scoring by half a length in the $100, 000 Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes (G3) on Saturday. Sold for $300,000 by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale, the 2-year-old daughter of Indian Charlie has earned $73,365 to date.
La Marca Stable’s Compliance Officer scored his second straight stakes win Sunday, taking Belmont’s $100,000 Ashley T. Cole Stakes by 3-1/2 lengths. That’s four straight wins for the 5-year-old gelding by Officer, now 21-8-4-2 with earnings of $334,566. He was sold for $65,000 by King’s Equine, Agent, at the 2008 OBS April Sale.
Henco Inc. & Four Horsemen Stable’s Tannersville led a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of Calder’s $54,500 Our Dear Peggy Stakes, beating Trust the Deputy (June ’08) by four lengths, with Motovato (March ’07) checking in third. It’s the second win in eight starts this year for the 4-year-old Florida-bred West Acre colt, sold for $10,500 by M & H Training and Sales, Agent, at the 2009 OBS April Sale. The win gives him a 19-7-2-4 record and $235,135 in earnings.
