She’s Country, Revera Lead OBS Stakes-Winning Grads

West Point Thoroughbreds, James Politano and LVD Racing’s She’s Country (Combatant- Lunar Affair, by Malibu Moon) lunged between rivals late to prevail in the $125,000 Key Cents Stakes for New York-bred juvenile fillies at Aqueduct Racetrack on Nov. 13 and lead the slate of stakes-winning OBS graduates for the week.

The daughter of Combatant dark bay got up in the final jumps to put her head in front, in a final time of 1:38.70. She’s Country, a six-length state-bred debut winner going 1 1/16 miles in August at Saratoga Race Course, was one of three George Weaver-trainees in the field.

She’s Country was purchased by West Point Thoroughbreds for $80,000 at the 2025 April Sale from the consignment of Sweet River Thoroughbreds after breezing in :10 1/5. She had previously been offered at the 2024 OBS October Yearling Sale where she was an RNA for Goldencents Thoroughbreds.

At Del Mar on Nov. 16, Revera (Lexitonian – Decoder, by War Front) turned the tables on fellow OBS grad Himika to take the $100,000 Desi Arnaz Stakes by three-quarters of a length, earning her first stakes win.

Breaking out of post four in a field of six, Revera had a perfect trip to the outside of heavily favored Himika. Midway down the stretch it was a two-horse race between Himika and Revera fighting down the lane with the John Sadler trainee, Revera pulling away from her rival the last sixteenth of a mile to win.

Owned by Saints or Sinners, Titletown Racing Stables, U Racing Stables LLC, Et. Al. Revera was purchased by U Racing Stables at the 2025 OBS March Sale for $85,000 from the Eddie Woods consignment after breezing in :10 1/5.
