That’s four wins in eight starts this year for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Simon Pure, sold for $15,000 as a weanling by Perrone Sales Ltd., Agent at the 2009 OBS Fall Mixed Sale. Unraced at two, he’s now 8-4-0-3 and has earned $114,170.
Saul and Max Kupferberg’s Sunny Desert scored her fifth straight win in Wednesday’s $98,000 New York Stallion Series Stakes at Aqueduct, coming from last in a field of five and winning by 2-3/4 lengths. It’s the third stakes win for the 3-year-old daughter of Wild Desert, now 10-5-3-0 with $266,750 in earnings. She was sold for $2,000 by Quiet Time Farm, Agent, at the 2009 OBS Fall Mixed Sale.
