Sam Britt and Michael House’s Gabriel Charles found Santa Anita’s downhill turf course to his liking in the $100, 000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint Preview Stakes on Saturday, rallying from just off the pace and then drawing off to a 3-1/2 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old colt by Street Hero, sold for $160,000 by Price Thoroughbreds at the 2012 OBS April Sale.
