West Point Thoroughbreds and Steven Bouchey’s Carson’s Run (Cupid – Hot N Hectic) trailed in the early going of Sunday’s $600,000 Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes (G1), but got in gear on the turn, swung wide for the drive, took over a sixteenth out and scored by a length and three quarters. It’s the second grade one win for the 3-year-old colt by Cupid, now 7-4-1-0 with earnings of $719,529 for trainer Christophe Clement.
