Stable LLC’s Webslinger (Constitution – Arana) was well back in the early going of Saturday’s $175,000 Chorleywood Stakes at Churchill Downs, but moved to contention on the turn, swung out for the drive, took charge a sixteenth out and was best by half a length. It’s the fourth stakes victory for the graded stakes winning 4-year-old millionaire colt by Constitution, a two-time OBS graduate. He went through the ring at the 2022 Spring Sale before he was purchased for $50,000 out of the Blue River Bloodstock consignment at the June Sale after breezing an Under Tack three eighths in :33 1/5. C., Ltd.’s Avana (Vino Rosso – Revealing Moment) was rated off the pace in Saturday’s $50,000 River Rock Casino Stakes at Hastings Racecourse, but swept to the lead on the turn and galloped away in the stretch to score by eight lengths. It was the stakes debut for the lightly raced 3-year-old filly by Vino Rosso, trained by Barbara Heads, with two wins out of three starts and $29,705 earnings.
