Practical Move wins the Los Alamitos Futurity

Pierre Jean Amestoy, Jr., Leslie A. Amestoy and Roger K. Beasley’s Practical Move sat just off the early lead in Saturday’s $200,000 Los Alamitos Futurity (G2), took over a quarter mile from home and drew off late to score by 3-1/2 lengths. It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old son of Practical Joke, purchased for $230,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2022 OBS Spring Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. G. Chris Coleman’s Olivia Twist is three for three and a stakes winner after taking charge of Saturday’s $100,000 Trapeze Stakes at Remington Park after turning for home and scoring by two lengths. It was the stakes debut for the 2-year-old daughter of Mshawish, trained by Todd W. Fincher, who has earned $100,149 to date.
