Phoenix Thoroughbreds LTD’s Confessing tried stakes company for the first time in the $60,000 Ricks Memorial Stakes on Sunday at Remington Park. The 4-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy relaxed off the pace in the early going, rallied to reach contention on the turn and kept coming to get up late by three quarters of a length. After turning in an Under Tack eighth in :9 4/5, she was purchased for $875,000 out of the Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2018 OBS March Sale.
