The bay colt, who turned in eighth in :10 flat at Thursday’s Under Tack session, is out of Business Decision, by Put It Back, a daughter of graded stakes winner In Conference.
- Hip No. 710, a daughter of No Nay Never consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, went to Team Casse, Agent for $430,000. The dark bay or brown filly, who breezed an eighth in :10 flat on Thursday, is out of Alhania, by Medaglia d’Oro, a daughter of grade one stakes winner Dessert.
- Hip No. 847, a daughter of Curlin consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, was purchased by Breeze Easy LLC for $430,000. The bay filly, who worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 on Thursday, is a half sister to stakes placed Chic Thrill out of Canadian champion Catch the Thrill, by A.P. Indy.
- Hip No. 628, Original, a son of Quality Road also consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, went to Tonja Tarranova, Agent for $425,000. The bay colt, who breezed a quarter in :21 1/5 on Wednesday, is out of Unforgettable, by Empire Maker, a half sister to graded stakes winner Academy Award.
- Jerry Durant went to $360,000 for Hip No. 701, a son of Lemon Drop Kid consigned by Randy Miles, Agent. The gray or roan colt, whose eighth in :9 4/5 was co-fastest at the distance at Wednesday’s Under Tack session, is a half brother to stakes placed La Dame Blanche out of Adjudication, by Giant’s Causeway, a half sister to graded stakes winner Inspector Lynley.
- Steven W. Young, Agent, went to $330,000 for Hip No. 826, a son of Empire Maker consigned by Envision Equine, Agent. The bay colt, out of California Spirit, by Tale of the Cat, a half sister to graded stakes winner Protonico, worked an eighth in :10 1/5 on Thursday.
- Hip No. 676, a daughter of Flatter consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC, was sold to Hubert Guy Bloodstock for $310,000. The dark bay or brown filly, who worked an eighth in :10 flat on Wednesday, is a half sister to Poseidon’s Way out of Winsome Ways, by Smart Strike.
- Hip No. 700, a son of Runhappy consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, was sold to West Bloodstock, Agent for Repole Stable, Inc. for $290,000. The gray or roan colt, who turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat on Wednesday, is out of stakes placed Addison Run, by Unbridled’s Song, and is a half brother to highly regarded 3-year-old Gouverneur Morris, grade one stakes placed at two and third in the recent Arkansas Derby (G1).
For the day, 149 horses brought a total of $10,748,500 compared with 170 selling for a total of $17,968,500 at last year’s third session. The average price was $72,138, compared to $105,697 in 2019 while the median price was $40,000, compared with $58,500 a year ago. The buyback percentage was 25.5%; it was 19.4% last year.
