It’s the first graded stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Ghostzapper, who breezed an Under Tack quarter in :20 2/5 before she was purchased for $720,000 out of the Off the Hook LLC consignment at the 2016 OBS April Sale. Cheyenne Stables LLC’s Classy Class took command going to the first turn of Monmouth’s $107,000 Salvator Mile Stakes (G3) and never looked back, cruising to a 2-3/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 5-year-old son of Discreetly Mine, now 18-5-0-4 with $426,100 for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. Commonwealth Stables and Randy Bradshaw’s Somethingelse picked up her first stakes victory in Saturday’s $100,000 Ginger Punch Stakes at Gulfstream Park, taking the lead at the top of the stretch and holding two rivals at bay en route to a half length win over fellow OBS graduate Bitacora (August ’15). The 4-year-old Florida-bred filly by Leroidesanimaux (BRZ) worked a quarter in :22 flat before she was a $26,000 purchase out of the Randy Bradshaw consignment at the 2015 OBS June Sale.
