Long Lake Stable LLC and Beacon Hill Thoroughbreds LLC’s Tammy the Torpedo picked up her second graded stakes win on Saturday in the $101, 000 Violet Stakes (G3) at Monmouth Park, closing on the outside down the stretch and getting up late to win by half a length. That’s three stakes wins for the 4-year-old filly by More Than Ready, purchased for $225,000 out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2014 OBS April Sale after working an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. Trained by Chad Brown, she’s now 11-5-1-1 and has earned $355,530. watch her under tack video

North American Thoroughbred Horse Company, Inc.’s Sorryaboutnothing scored his first graded stakes victory in frontrunning fashion, leading from gate to wire and taking the $150,000 British Columbia Derby (G3) at Hastings Park on Saturday by 2-1/2 lengths. Trained by Troy Taylor, the win gives the 3-year-old gelding by Repent an 11-2-0-1 record and $109,891 in earnings. He breezed an Under Tack quarter in :21 1/5 before he was sold for $220,000 by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Agent, at the 2015 OBS June Sale. watch his under tack video

Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Watchyourownbobber scored his third straight stakes win in the $390,000 More Than Ready Mile Stakes on Saturday at Kentucky Downs, taking command after turning for home and cruising to a 4-1/2 length victory. It’s the fourth stakes win for the graded stakes placed 4-year-old colt by Hard Spun, sold for $62,000 by Hoppel’s Horse & Cattle Co., Agent, at the 2014 OBS April Sale after breezing a quarter in :21 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. He’s now 16-7-3-2 for trainer Mike Maker, and has earned $566,173 to date. watch his under tack video

Mike Maker also sent Out Of This World Racing LLC’s graded stakes placed Try Your Luck out to a victory at Kentucky Downs on Saturday; the 3-year-old daughter of Lookin At Lucky taking the $188,720 Dueling Grounds Oaks by 7-1/2 lengths. Her first stakes win leaves her with a 10-3-1-5 record and $225,174 in earnings. Consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent to the Horses of Racing Age Section at the 2015 OBS Fall Mixed Sale, she breezed three eighths in :33 4/5 before she was sold for $18,000. watch her under tack video

Empyrean Stables and Two Princesses’ Diadura is two for two and a stakes winner after battling her way between horses on the turn of Saturday’s $75,000 Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes, taking charge turning for home and drawing away to a 5-1/2 length victory. Fellow OBS graduate R Naja (April ’16) checked in third. Trained by Michael Stidham, the 2-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Hard Spun has earned $57,660. Allan P. Peterson’s Majestic Gale stepped into Louisiana Downs’ $75,000 Happy Ticket Stakes on Saturday straight off a maiden victory, but ignored the rise in class, blew past the leaders coming to the eighth pole and romped by 4-1/2 lengths. The 2-year-old Florida-bred Majestic Warrior filly, consigned to the 2016 OBS March Sale by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent for Kinsman Farm, worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before she was purchased by Mr. Peterson for $75,000. Ten Strike Racing’s Allied Air Raid rallied from off the pace to take command of Saturday’s $75,000 Unbridled Stakes at Louisiana Downs a furlong from home, and then ran off from there to a four length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old gelding by Midshipman, saddled by Brad Cox, now 13-4-4-4 with $338,600 in earnings. He breezed an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show, before he was sold for $50,000 by Paul Sharp, Agent, at the 2014 OBS June Sale. watch his under tack video

Paddock Proud and Robbie G. Davis’ Ribbonite was a maiden going into the $116,775 Lady Fingers Stakes on Saturday at Finger Lakes, but the 2-year-old filly by Griffinite was a stakes winner at the finish, leading every step of the way en route to a 6-3/4 length victory. Trained by Robbie Davis, she’s now 3-1-1-0 and has earned $88,316. A two time OBS graduate, she was purchased out of the Jimmy Miranda consignment at the 2015 Winter Mixed Sale and then resold by Rick Lopez Training & Sales for $25,000 at the 2016 April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. watch her under tack video

Peacock, Philip Hall and Lance Giesbrecht’s Calgary Caper was last in the early going of the $75,000 S.W. Randall Plate Handicap on Saturday at Hastings Park, but circled horses on the turn, took over in the lane and eased away to win by a length and a half. Fellow OBS graduate Square Dancer (June ’12) settled for third. That’s two straight stakes scores for the 5-year-old El Corredor gelding, who sped an Under Tack quarter in :21 flat before he was purchased for $105,000 out of the Harris Training Center consignment at the 2013 OBS June Sale.
