Play the Music wins Woodbine’s Royal North Stakes

Glassman Racing’s Play the Music (Mo Town – Hey Little Sister) tracked the leaders in Woodbine’s $135,000 Royal North Stakes (G3) on Saturday, found room on the inside in the stretch to take command a furlong out and drew off to score by 2-1/4 lengths. That’s two straight graded stakes wins for the 4-year-old daughter of Mo Town, now 13-6-1-3 for trainer Mark Casse with $401,037 in earnings. At the 2022 OBS Spring Sale, she turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat and was purchased for $300,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment.  watch her under tack video       Spring Sale walking video

Valene Farms LLC’s For Harper (Accelerate – Holdontoyourdream), last of ten in Saturday’s $100,000 Louisiana Legends Turf Distaff Stakes at Evangeline Downs, moved to contention going to the turn, swept around horses to reach the front inside the eighth pole and eased away to victory by a length and a quarter. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Accelerate, who went through the ring, consigned by Clear Creek Stud, at the 2021 October Selected Yearling Sale. Trained by Sturges J. Ducoing, she has compiled a 9-6-3-5 record and earned $236,000.
