Aaron Sones’ Lemon Muffin (Collected – Pelt) picked a fine spot to break her maiden, coming from off the pace, taking over a furlong out and winning the Oaklawn’s $400,000 Honeybee Stakes (G3) by 3-1/2 lengths. Breaking through after four consecutive second place finishes, the 3-year-old filly by OBS graduate Collected, trained by D. Wayne Lukas, is now 6-1-4-0 and has earned $305,250.
