Jaxon Traveler wins the Zia Park Sprint Stakes

West Point Thoroughbreds’ Jaxon Traveler (Munnings – Listen Boy) was much the best in the $100,000 Zia Park Sprint Stakes on Tuesday, taking command on the turn and drawing away down the stretch to score by 5-1/2 lengths. Steve Asmussen also sent out L. William Heiligbrodt, Corinne Heiligbrodt and Jackpot Farm’s Topsy (Bee Jersey – Secretariat Humor) in the $100,000 Zia Park Distaff Stakes, and the 3-year-old graded stakes placed daughter of Bee Jersey rallied to take the lead inside the final furlong and won by a length. Now 10-4-2-0 after her first stakes victory, she has earned $220,363 to date.
