Ocala, Fl. – The Supplemental Catalog for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2023 October Yearling Sale is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com and in printed form at the OBS sales grounds. Thirty-seven horses have been supplemented; in all 713 horses will be sold.
There are two sessions, set for Tuesday, October 10th and Wednesday, October 11th. Hip No.’s 1 – 338 plus supplements 339 – 359 will be offered on Tuesday and Hip No’s 401 – 739 plus supplements 740 – 755 will be sold on Wednesday. Both sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m.
OBS again offers Online Bidding during the October Sale. Buyers will be able to go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials. The supplemental catalog adds substantial sire power to the sale. Flatter, Liam’s Map and Munnings are represented, as are Nyquist, Oscar Performance, Quality Road, Spun to Run, Thousand Words and Win Win Win.
This group joins the outstanding roster of sires in the original catalog, headed by Audible, Bernardini, Bolt d’Oro, Bucchero and Candy Ride (ARG). The list also includes Catalina Cruiser, City of Light, Complexity, Curlin’s Honor, Game Winner, Girvin, Global Campaign, Good Magic, Gunnevera, Hard Spun, Honest Mischief, Improbable, Instagrand, Instilled Regard, Kantharos, Khozan, Maximum Security, McKinzie, Mendelssohn, Not This Time, Omaha Beach, Practical Joke, Tiz the Law, Union Rags, Vekoma, Vino Rosso, Volatile and War of Will.
The Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the DRF, TDN, Blood Horse and Pastthewire websites.
The online catalog’s main page contains a link to a sortable master index providing searchable pedigree and consignor information as well as access to pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed.
The sortable master index has advanced search and filter capability and allows shortlist creation. A link to instructions for using these features can be found in the index header and a step-by-step tutorial is available in the index as well.
The iPad version of the catalog can be accessed via the equineline Sales Catalog App. The App allows users to download and view the catalog, receive updates and results, record notes and also provides innovative search, sort and rating capability.
