No Nay Mets takes Monmouth’s Tyro Stakes

Bregman Family Racing LLC and WEBD, LLC’s No Nay Mets (IRE) No Nay Never – Etoile) was much the best in Sunday’s $112,000 Tyro Stakes at Monmouth Park, leading from start to finish and drawing away to win by 5-1/2 lengths. Fellow OBS graduate Shea D. World (World of Trouble – Sweet Saturday) (October ’22) checked in third. It’s the second stakes win for the 2-year-old colt by No Nay Never, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, to the 2023 OBS Spring Sale, where he went through the ring after turning in an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5. Lea Farms, LLC’s Lightening Larry (Uncaptured – Moon and Sun) tracked the leaders into the stretch of the $150,000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes at Laurel on Saturday, took the lead a sixteenth from home and was best by half a length at the wire. It’s the third straight stakes victory for the graded stakes winning 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by Uncaptured, trained by Jorge Delgado, who has compiled an 18-8-5-2 career record and earned $607,080.
