The 4-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Adios Charlie, trained by Gerald Bennett, took the lead at the start and was never headed, turning back a stretch challenge from fellow OBS graduate Restofthestory (April ’20) and scoring by a length and three quarters. It’s her third stakes win and leaves her with a 9-6-1-0 career record with $270,250 in earnings. Charles Galli’s Count de Monet is three for three and a stakes winner after finding room in the stretch of the $150,000 Advent Stakes on Friday at Oaklawn Park and drawing away to a three length victory over fellow OBS graduate Alto Road (April’22). It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old colt by Speightster, purchased for $85,000 out of the All In Sales consignment at the 2022 OBS Spring Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5.
