Mike Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman’s Speed Boat Beach made a big splash in his debut on Saturday at Del Mar, leading from gate to wire and winning an $82,500 Maiden Special test by a length and a quarter in a track record 1:01.86 for 5-1/2 furlongs.
