Baoma Corporation’s Eda sat just off the lead in the early going of Sunday’s $79,000 Anoakia Stakes, took command a quarter mile out and cruised from there to a 2-1/4 length victory, with fellow OBS graduate Benedict Canyon (April ’21) checking in third. CBYT, Saul Gevertz, Lynn Gitomer, Mike Goetz, Michael Nentwig and Daniel Weiner’s Neptune’s Storm pressed the pace in the $75,000 Lure Stakes on Saturday, took the lead a furlong from home and held off a late charge by fellow OBS graduate Order and Law (April ’18) to score by a neck. It’s the sixth stakes win for the 5-year-old multiple graded stakes winning gelding by Stormy Atlantic, trained by Peter Miller, now 24-8-4-6 with $981,865 in earnings. Andry G. Blanco’s Peter D led a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of Saturday’s $60,000 Journeyman Stud Juvenile Stakes at Gulfstream. The 2-year-old Florida-bred son of He’s Had Enough chased the leaders from the inside, swung out for the drive, took over past the eighth pole and scored by a length and a half over Mr Rum Runner (April ’21), with C My Meister (March ’21) settling for third. Trained by his owner, his first stakes victory leaves him with a 3-2-0-0 record and earnings of $51,444. Steve Landers Racing LLC’s He’smyhoneybadger scored his first stakes victory in Keeneland’s $150,000 Perryville Stakes on Saturday, relaxing off the pace, swinging wide into the lane, reaching the lead in deep stretch and winning by a head at the wire. The 3-year-old colt by Daredevil, who worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 at the 2020 OBS March Sale, was purchased for $85,000 out of the Advanced Thoroughbreds consignment.
