OBS graduates posted a pair of graded stakes wins at Belmont Park on Friday and Saturday.
LRE Racing LLC and JEH Racing LLC’s Casa Creed trailed early in Saturday’s $400,000 Jaipur Stakes (G1), but circled horses on the turn, rolled down the stretch to take command passing the sixteenth pole and eased away late to score by two lengths. It’s the second graded stakes win for the 5-year-old son of Jimmy Creed, now 20-5-3-3 for trainer Bill Mott, with earnings of $755,408. He was purchased for $15,000 out of the Janie Roper consignment at the 2017 OBS Winter Mixed Sale.
Medallion Racing, Barry Fowler, Parkland Thoroughbreds, Little Red Feather Racing and BlackRidge Stables LLC’s Estilo Talentoso raced wide in the early going of Friday’s $294,000 Bed o’ Roses Stakes (G3), rallied on the outside in the stretch to get the lead a sixteenth from home and held on gamely to win by neck. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Maclean’s Music, a two time OBS graduate. Consigned twice by McKathan Bros, she went through the ring at the 2019 April Sale before she was purchased for $15,000 at the 2019 June Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 4/5.
