The catalog for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2021 Spring Sale of Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com.
A total of 1,214 juveniles have been cataloged for the four-day sale, now set for Tuesday through Friday, April 20th – April 23th. All sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m.
- Hip No. 1 – 304 will sell Tuesday, April 20th.
- Hip No. 305 – 608 will be sold Wednesday, April 21st.
- Hip No. 609 – 912 will sell Thursday, April 22nd.
- Hip No. 913 – 1217 will be sold Friday, April 23rd.
The Under Tack Show will be divided into seven sessions, set for Sunday through Saturday, April 11th – April 17th, all beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Robert E. and Lawana L. Low’s Colonel Liam made the grade in January at Gulfstream, taking the $1-million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes (G1). The lightly raced 4-year-old colt by Liam’s Map, trained by Todd Pletcher is now 6-4-0-1 with earnings of $690,965. Orr, Jerry Schneider and MyRacehorse.com’s Collusion Illusion battled the best sprinters out west in 2020 and came out on top in Del Mar’s Bing Crosby Stakes (G1) and Santa Anita’s Lazaro Barrera Stakes (G3). The now 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by Twirling Candy, trained by Mark Glatt, has compiled a 9-5-0-2 career record and earned $458,751 to date. Blue Heaven Farm’s catalog cover girl Starship Jubilee put an exclamation mark on a brilliant career with a victory over the boys in the $1,000,000 Woodbine Mile Stakes (G1) in September. Trained by Kevin Attard, she has won nine graded stakes, compiled a 39-19-5-3 career record and earned $2,093,069. The now 8-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Indy Wind is a two time OBS graduate, sold by The Acorn at the 2014 August Yearling Sale then consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm to the 2015 April Sale where she went through the ring after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5. watch her under tack video
Shiekh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Mouheeb took the UAE 2000 Guineas (G3) at Meydan in a stakes record 1:35.46 for the mile in February. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Flatter, purchased for $400,000 out of the Tom McCrocklin consignment at the 2020 OBS Spring Sale after breezing an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5. John C. Oxley and My Meadowview Farm LLC’s Ride a Comet scored his third graded stakes win in Gulfstream’s Tropical Turf Stakes (G3) in January. Now 14-8-0-1 for trainer Mark Casse, the 6-year-old son of Candy Ride (ARG), has earned $479,584 to date. Cash Is King LLC and LC Racing LLC’s Mischevious Alex racked up his third graded stakes win in the Gulfstream Park Sprint Stakes (G3) in February. Now trained by Saffie Joseph, Jr., the 5-year-old son of Into Mischief is now 11-6-1-1 and has earned $449,730 to date. Trained by Kenji Nonaka, the 6-year-old son of First Samurai is now 22-6-5-3 and has earned $1,731,552 to date. Mark Schwartz’s Brooklyn Strong is pointing for Aqueduct’s Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) on April 3rd after winning three of four starts at two. The now 3-year-old gelding by Wicked Strong scored two stakes wins including a win in the Remsen Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct in December. Advanced search and filter capability has been added to allow shortlist creation.
