Commonwealth Stable’s Out for a Spin, overlooked at 52-1, pressed the pace in the early going of Keeneland’s $500,000 Ashland Stakes (G1), took the lead between horses on the turn, fought the length of the stretch and prevailed by a neck. It was the stakes debut for the 3-year-old daughter of Hard Spun, consigned by Randy Bradshaw, Agent, to the 2018 OBS April Sale, where she went through the ring after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 3/5. Now 5-3-0-1 for trainer Dallas Stewart, she has earned $354,903 to date. watch her under tack video

Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables LLC and Bethlehem Stables LLC’s World of Trouble tracked the leaders wide down the backstretch of Aqueduct’s $400,000 Carter Handicap (G1) on Saturday, swept toward the front on the turn, opened daylight in the stretch and coasted home a winner by half a length. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 4-year-old Florida-bred colt by Kantharos, trained by Jason Servis, now 11-7-2-1 with $891,400 in earnings. Consigned by Darsan Inc., Agent, he went through the ring at the 2016 OBS August Yearling Sale.
