Madaket Stables LLC, Ten Strike Racing and Zayat Stables, LLC’s Ezmosh took the short way home in Saturday’s $100,000 Arlington Classic Stakes (G3), staying on the rail all the way, taking command in the stretch and drawing off late to score by 2-1/2 lengths over fellow OBS graduate Pont Du Gord (August ’16). It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Tizway, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. Michael Dubb, Nantucket Thoroughbred Partners, Bethlehem Stables LLC et al’s Offering Plan defended his title in Belmont’s $125,000 Kingston Stakes on Memorial Day, rallying wide into the stretch, closing strongly to reach the lead at the sixteenth pole and going on from there to score by a length and three quarters. His third stakes victory gives the 6-year-old graded stakes placed son of Spring At Last a 19-7-3-3 record with earnings of $572,923 for trainer Chad Brown. Red Baron’s Barn LLC and Rancho Temescal LLC’s Factorofwon tried stakes company for the first time in Sunday’s $101,690 Black Pearl Stakes on the turf course at Santa Anita, rallied on the outside after leaving the hill and got up in the final yards to win by half a length. The 3-year-old colt by The Factor sped a quarter in :21 1/5 at the Under Tack Show before he was sold for $150,000 by Paul Sharp, Agent, at the 2017 OBS April Sale. Ivery Sisters Racing’s Monte Man scored his third straight stakes win on Saturday at Evangeline Downs, rallying from off the pace to take command of the $75,000 Louisiana Legends Sprint Stakes a furlong from home and easing away to win by a length and a half. Trained by Ron Fauncheux, the victory leaves him with a 26-8-4-3 career record and $307,055 in earnings. Mark Norman and Normand Stables LLC’s Shes Our Fastest picked up her second stakes win on Saturday at Lone Star Park, taking charge of the $65,000 Texas Stallion Stakes in the stretch and drawing away in style to win by 6-3/4 lengths. The 3-year-old filly by Oratory sped a quarter in :21 flat at the Under Tack Show before she was purchased for $50,000 out of the Stephens Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2017 OBS June Sale.
