It’s the second straight stakes victory for the 2-year-old graded stakes placed daughter of Take Charge Indy, consigned to the 2017 OBS March Sale by Envision Equine on behalf of E. J. Sipus Jr. and purchased for $50,000 by Mr. Tallisman after she turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Treadway Racing Stable’s Malibu Saint relaxed well off the pace in Saturday’s $75,000 Wait a While Stakes on the Gulfstream turf course, moved wide to reach contention nearing the stretch, and ran past the leaders despite traffic trouble in the lane to win at half a length. It’s the first stakes victory for the 2-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon, trained by Mike Maker, now 5-2-1-1 with $81,481 in earnings. Town and Country Racing, LLC’s My Miss Chiff rallied to take charge of the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Ladies Sprint Stakes a furlong from home and held off fellow OBS graduate Look Into My Eyes (June ’14, January ’13) in the deep stretch to score by three quarters of a length. That’s two straight stakes wins for the 3-year-old graded stakes placed filly by Into Mischief, now 6-4-0-1 with earnings of $159,660 for trainer Albert Stall, Jr. She was sold for $60,000 by Tonya Jurgens, Agent, as a weanling at the 2014 OBS Fall Mixed Sale.
