The OBS Yearling Sale moves to October after being held in August for more than three decades. “We are excited about the sale’s new calendar placement, ” said OBS director of sales Tod Wojciechowski. “Holding the sale after the conclusion of the boutique race meets at Del Mar and Saratoga will be more convenient for buyers, and gives consignors a more mature product to market. Also, moving the sale to October’s more moderate temperatures will be a plus for buyers, consignors and horses.”

There are 188 yearlings (Hip No.’s 1 – 188) cataloged for the Selected Yearling Sale. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th, it will begin at 12:00 noon. Conformation photos of the Selected yearlings will be available on the website and the iPad version beginning on or about September 15th. There are 429 yearlings (Hip No.’s 301 – 730) cataloged in the Open Yearling Sale, set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11th.
