China Horse Club and WinStar Farm’s Theory is two for two and a graded stakes winner after taking command of the $200, 000 Futurity Stakes (G3) at Belmont Park leaving the eighth pole and drawing away from there to a 3-1/2 length victory. Fellow OBS graduate Moves Like Ali (April ’16) checked in third. Theory, a 2-year-old son of Gemologist who romped to a 5-1/2 length victory in his debut at Saratoga in July, was purchased for $335,000 out of the Mayberry Farm consignment at the 2016 OBS April Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. Stilletos and Spurs’ Tiz a Melody is still unbeaten after putting in a strong late run and winning the $75,000 El Joven Stakes by a length and three quarters on Saturday at Retama Park. Trained by Mike Neatherlin, the 2-year-old gelding by Tizway has two wins in as many starts and has earned $53,460.
