Clyde D. Rice’s Less Than Perfect dueled for the lead from the start of Thursday’s $100, 200 Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Juvenile Stakes at Presque Isle Downs, took charge at the top of the stretch and drew away to a 2-1/4 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Bourbon Cowboy (April ’14, August ’13). It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old Florida-bred Pleasantly Perfect colt, now 7-2-0-1 with $107,655 in earnings. Consigned by TdM Sales (Tristan & Valery de Meric), Agent, he was purchased by Rice for $22,000 at the 2013 OBS August Sale.
